Submission to the Parliamentary inquiry on UK's negotiating objectives for withdrawal from EU

The Academy has submitted evidence to the House of Commons Exiting the European Union Committee to inform its inquiry into UK's negotiating objectives for withdrawal from EU.

Status:

In January 2017, the Academy submitted evidence to the House of Commons Exiting the European Union Committee to inform its inquiry into UK's negotiating objectives for withdrawal from EU.

Our submission drew on the expertise of our Fellowship and noted three key priorities:

  • Priority 1: Build an efficient, fair and transparent immigration system

  • Priority 2: Funding research at internationally competitive levels

  • Priority 3: Making the UK attractive to the life sciences industry

The submission builds on our ongoing engagement around the implications of Brexit for research, and the place of research and innovation in a future vision for the UK.
