On 7 April, Dr Trevor Mundel, President of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Program, will give the Academy’s 2014 International Health Lecture. These lectures provide a platform for leaders in global health to discuss topics of international significance; promoting debate, discussion and the exchange of ideas on current research.
As President of the Global Health Program, Dr Mundel leads its efforts in research and development of health solutions including vaccines, drugs and diagnostics. The program focuses on health problems that have a major impact in developing countries and receive too little attention and funding.
Dr Mundel will deliver the lecture entitled 'A scientist, an engineer, and a banker walk into a pub...the not-so-funny truth about innovation in global health.'
The lecture will take place at the Academy (41 Portland Place, London) from 12.00 – 14.00. The event is free to attend and open to all on a first come, first served basis. For more information, and to reserve a place, please visit our booking page.
