The Academy is delighted to announce the following maternity cover appointments:
Interim Executive Director - Dr John Williams, currently Head of Science Strategy, Performance & Impact at Wellcome Trust, will be covering Helen Munn's maternity leave on secondment from the Trust. He will be doing the role full time, commencing at the end of June 2015 until February 2016. John will be well known to many of you, and was previously Head of Clinical Activities/Head of Neuroscience and Mental Health at the Trust where he has held various position since 1998.
Interim Director, Biomedical Grants and Careers Policy - Dr Lee-Ann Coleman, most recently Head of Scientific, Technical and Medical Information at the British Library will be covering Susie Candy's maternity leave. Lee-Ann is coming as a full-time appointment commencing in mid April 2015 until end of May 2016. Again, Lee-Ann will be known to many of you; she was previously Head of Policy & Research/Deputy Chief Executive at the Association of Medical Research Charities and before that Director of Scientific Administration at KCL.
