Academy to use Researchfish

It is crucial for us to capture the outcomes of the research we fund, to communicate the benefits of our research to supporters and to ensure that our schemes are fit for purpose.

Instead of collecting research outputs on Word documents, which do not lend themselves to analysis, we are now using an online reporting tool called Researchfish.

Grant holders sign up to Researchfish and log-in to upload outcome data about their research. This makes it easier for the award holder to report outcomes to a host of different funding agencies, as many other funding organisations use Researchfish, such as the Medical Research Council, the British Heart Foundation, Arthritis Research UK, Prostate Cancer UK and dozens of others. They can use this platform to report to multiple funders easily and quickly, as well as help them manage their portfolio and CV.

It will also facilitate the Academy to analyse the impacts of our schemes. Award holders are asked to submit their research outputs data from mid-January to end-March 2014. We look forward to reporting on the Academy’s first Researchfish submission period in the Spring.

If you are an Academy award-holder and would like to know more about how to report through Researchfish, please see their website.
