The National Council for the State Funding Agencies (CONFAP), National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the State Funding Agencies offer opportunies for UK researchers to carry out research in Brazil.
Fellowships
Fellowships are between 6 to 36 months, offering a monthly scholarship, airline ticket, scholarship for one undergraduate student assistant and Grant in the amount of R$ 25,000.00 each six months
Research Mobility
Mission up to fifteen days: offering airline ticket (round trip and economic class) and travel insurance, and daily support in a value defined by the FAPs or CNPq.
Mission from sixteen days to three months: offering airline ticket (round trip and economic class) and travel insurance and a monthly scholarship in the amount of R$ 7,000.00 monthly.
Young Investigator Awards
In addition to the above, for young investigators from the UK looking to start a research career in a university or research institution in the State of São Paulo, FAPESP offers a FAPESP Young Investigator Award, which is a 4-year grant, as part of the State of São Paulo side matching funds.

The National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) are offering fellowships and mobility schemes for UK researchers to spend time in a Mexican university or institution.
CONACYT International Fellowships
These Fellowships will support early career post-doctoral researchers (no more than 7 years active full time postdoctoral experience), for a one year awards (with a potential to be extended to a second year subject to evaluation) to be spent in Mexico undertaking research at a host university or research institute. CONACYT will cover a stipend, research expenses and medical insurance.
CONACYT Advanced Fellowships
These Fellowships will support early to mid career researchers (up to 15 years post-PhD) for one year awards, and CONACYT will provide a salary top up as well as research expenses as well as subsistence, research expenses and medical insurance.
For both fellowships, the Mexican Academy of Sciences will cover travel expenses for each fellowship awarded.

The Mexican Academy of Sciences Short Term Mobility scheme
This scheme provides the opportunity for early career and established researchers (postdoctoral onwards) based in UK to establish and develop new collaborations with Mexican counterparts. They will be based around a joint research project in the fields of exact and natural sciences; social sciences and humanities; and engineering. The awards will be up to £4000 for a period of three months and will cover costs for subsistence, research expenses and travel expenses. Applications must have a Mexican and UK co-applicant and be based around a jointly conceived research project. For short stays, the Mexican Academy of Sciences will cover travel costs for each UK fellowship holder.

The National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of South Africa is offering awards for UK researchers to visit South Africa.
Fellowships for Early Career Researchers
These Fellowships support the placement of UK early career researchers (with up to 7 years post PhD experience) in South African public research institutions for a maximum period of 6 months, in order to enhance and strengthen collaboration, build research capacity and enhance career opportunities for researchers in South Africa and the UK.
Fellowships are between 3-6 months, and will cover the costs of one economy return flight from the UK to SA, living expenses, including accommodation and ground transport. The maximum amount per fellowship (all inclusive) is R330,000.

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK) is offering fellowships to researchers in the UK to pursue their research in Turkey.
Fellowships for Visiting Scientists and Scientists on Sabbatical Leave
These Fellowships are open to researchers in the UK who would like to give workshops, conferences or lectures, or conduct R&D activities in Turkey. Visits can be from 1 week-12 months, and support includes a monthly stipend, travel costs and health insurance premiums.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
International Researchers Fellowship Programme
These Fellowships offer opportiunities for PhD students and early career post-doctoral researchers.The maximum duration of the fellowship is 12 months, and support includes a monthly stipend, travel insurance and health premiums.
