Royal College of Physicians Research and Academic Medicine Committee

The RCP's Research and Academic Medicine Committee aims to raise the profile of academic medicine and research within the RCP, and to ensure that the RCP plays a strong advocacy role in this area.

Status: Ongoing

The Royal College of Physicians of London's Research and Academic Medicine Committee aims to raise the profile of academic medicine within the RCP, promote research in the NHS, and address the needs of clinical academic staff, trainees and research-active physicians. At the heart of its work is the aim to improve the standard of care delivered to patients.

The Academy is represented on the Committee by the Vice-President (Clinical) Professor Chris Day FMedSci. This activity helps us to not only influence policy, but to do so where it can nurture the next generation generation of medical researchers.
