The Newton Advanced Fellowship scheme and Newton International Fellowship scheme are now open to applicants.
Newton Advanced Fellowships are open to researchers from China who are supported by the NSFC through the Distinguished Young Scholar or Excellent Young Scientist programmes.
Newton International Fellowships are open to researchers from China, India, Mexico and Turkey, who currently have no more than 7 years active full time postdoctoral experience.
Both schemes are available through the Government Newton Fund, which is part of the UK’s official development assistance. The Newton Fund is a new initiative that aims to develop the long-term sustainable growth and welfare of the partner country through building research and innovation capacity.
These awards will enable talented researchers from partner countries to benefit from working with biomedical researchers in some of the UK’s best universities.
More information on both schemes are available from our Grants pages.
If you're based in the UK and interested in working abroad, a partner scheme in Turkey is also now accepting applications. More information is available from our Grants pages or the TUBITAK website.
