Kim joined the Academy in 2014, initially managing our Newton Fund fellowship schemes and Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowships. Since 2018, she has been responsible for the delivery of the GCRF Networking Grant scheme, which is funded by the UK Government’s Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), and led by the Academy on behalf of all UK National Academies.

Kim is the Grants lead for GCRF, and provides the secretariat for the Joint Academies Resilient Futures Initiative Steering Group. Kim also manages the Hamied Foundation UK-India AMR Visiting Professorship scheme and oversees the Grants and Programmes internship scheme for BBSRC funded PhD students.

Previously, Kim has worked at the Royal Society where she managed a portfolio of international grant schemes, and at the National Audit Office working on Value for Money reports. She has a BSc in Zoology from Cardiff University and a PhD in Evolutionary Ecology from the University of East Anglia.
