It’s been an exciting year for the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship Scheme - over 200 Fellowships have now been awarded, and we held the first alumni conference in November 2016 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The latest Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship Newsletter provides more information, including details of those who have been funded and personal stories from some of the alumni.
Commenting on her experiences of the scheme one alumni said, “It's had a tremendously positive impact, I feel so fortunate that I could participate in this programme.” and of the conference she said, “It's wonderful, it's opened my eyes to other areas of research, things I hadn't thought about... It's mind expanding!”
Lord Turnberg FMedSci commented, "We are truly heartened by the response to our scheme. So many young researchers from across the Middle East have told us how much they have valued the opportunities provided and the ways in which they have managed to maintain their collaboration.”
The next round of funding opens on 6 October 2017; to find out more about the scheme and how to apply, please visit the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship page on our website.
We are extremely grateful to the donors who make this scheme and newsletter possible. If you are interested in supporting the scheme, please contact Yasmin Shand.
