Call for nominations: appointment of next Academy Registrar

Following her recent appointment as Executive Chair at Research England, Professor Dame Jessica Corner will be standing down as Academy Registrar in October this year. Nominations are now sought to identify her successor to this important Academy role.

The process to identify the next Academy Registrar is now open.
A letter from the Academy President, Dame Anne Johnson, in her capacity as Chair of the Academy’s Nominations Committee - which oversees the appointment of Honorary Officers - is provided on this page. Further details about the role (including information about the election process) and a nomination form are also available to download.

The Academy is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and encourages a wide range of nominations for all its key governance roles. Expressions of interest are welcomed from all areas of the Fellowship and should be sent, in confidence, to Dame Anne Johnson at president@acmedsci.ac.uk.  Fellows wishing to informally discuss the role are invited to contact Dame Anne at the earliest opportunity.

The deadline for receipt of completed nomination forms is 15 December 2022.
The Academy Council will elect the next Registrar at its meeting in February 2023.
