‘Unconscious Bias in the Mentoring Relationship’ webinar

12.00, Thursday 06 December 2018

We all have unconscious biases in our relationships, but what are the things you need to watch out for in mentoring?

This webinar will explore the nature of the mentoring relationship and how various unconscious biases can influence how successful or challenging the process can be. We will cover the following within the context of mentoring:

  • Power and equality
  • Competence and likability
  • Beliefs and assumptions
  • Identity and difference

This webinar aims be thought-provoking and give attendees a chance to review their practice as either mentor or mentee. You will hear from our mentoring facilitator, Alexis Hutson, and have the chance to ask questions to facilitate discussion around this topic.
