Fellows and guests are invited to attend an evening of informal discussion over drinks and dinner on Thursday 22 March, hosted by the Academy's Regional Champion for the North West, Professor Sue Wray.
The event will take place at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, starting with drinks from 17:30. The programme for the evening will include an opportunity to hear talks from Professor Matthew Cobb (University of Manchester) who will speak about work on the evolution of the human sense of smell and Professor Chris Probert (University of Liverpool) who will be speaking about olfactory diagnostics for cancer.
Tickets for this event are priced at £20 which will include drinks and a three course meal.
With a view to promoting wider engagement and awareness of the Academy's work, Fellows attending this event are encouraged to bring along an early career colleague or post-doctoral researcher from their home institution as a guest and to this end the Academy will be funding twelve free places for such colleagues.
