Jointly organised by the Academy, and Manchester University's Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation, this event?is hosted by the Manchester Museum.
An expert panel will lead discussion considering the opportunities and implications of biomedical research involving the combination of human and animal cells and DNA. The event will draw on the findings of Academy's report examining the use of 'animals containing human material'.
The event is programmed as part of the Wellcome Trust's 75th Anniversary, in conjunction with the iSEI's Strategic Programme on 'The Human Body: Its Scope, Limits and Future'.
