This FORUM workshop is currently in scoping. It will bring together stakeholders from across academia, industry, the NHS and others to discuss the early clinical development of gene therapies, and how this can be better supported to drive their translation into clinical practice.
Challenges for the early clinical development of gene therapy include demonstrating proof-of-concept, attracting funding for development and robust evidence generation, supporting manufacture and scale-up, as well as remaining scientific challenges such as managing the immune response.
This workshop will discuss how these challenges might be addressed as part of a sector-wide approach to supporting the development of gene therapies in the UK.
This workshop will take place in Winter 2018/19 with the exact date to be announced. To discuss this workshop further please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
