12.30, Monday 20 March 2017
Academy of Medical Sciences,
This small roundtable meeting held in partnership with NHS England will convene senior representatives from across the biomedical sector including academia, industry, clinicians, commissioners and policy-makers, amongst others, to explore adoption of a stratified approach to severe asthma in the NHS. The roundtable will be chaired by Professor Stephen Holgate CBE FMedSci, MRC Clinical Professor of Immunopharmacology at the University of Southampton.
The meeting will look to strengthen the evidence base for the stratification of severe asthma with respect to patient adherence and new genomic and biological markers, and explore adoption of such an approach in the NHS. This event will be held as part of series of joint meetings by the Academy and NHS England to explore adoption of a stratified approach across the NHS, with two previous meetings focused on diabetes and cardiovascular disease (reports available on the publications page).
The roundtable will take place on 20 March 2017 and is by invitation only. For further details please contact email@example.com.
