This FORUM roundtable, held in partnership with the British Pharmacological Society and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, will examine the steps that different stakeholders can take to address current and emerging high priority skills needs for clinical research.
The Life Sciences Industrial Strategy sets an ambition for increasing the number of clinical trials run in the UK by 50% in the next five years. To meet this ambition, certain gaps in current and emerging skillsets such as clinical pharmacology, clinical trial design and data science must be addressed.
Therefore, this roundtable will aim to discuss and prioritise the key clinical research skills gaps that are currently critical or are emerging in the UK and explore potential approaches to address each of these priority gaps.
This roundtable will take place on 16 July 2019 and is invitation only. To discuss this event further please contact forum@acmedsci.ac.uk.
