Annual Fellows Meeting and Jean Shanks Lecture 2023

Booking is now open for the Academy’s Annual Fellows’ Meeting and Jean Shanks Lecture on Tuesday 5 December.

This year's event will be held in hybrid format hosted from the Academy offices in Portland Place with speakers and a small live audience onsite. Remote attendance is also be available via Zoom to enable the participation of as many Fellows as possible.

The afternoon will include the Academy's AGM and an opportunity to hear about the Open Space Meeting for the Academy’s Emerging Research Leader community in October as well as other highlights of our Anniversary Year. The programme will also include award of the 2023 Foulkes Foundation-Academy of Medical Sciences Medal and a presentation from this year’s medallist.  To conclude the programme, this year's Jean Shanks Lecture will be presented at 17:00 by Professor Dame Angela McLean DBE FRS, Government Chief Scientific Adviser.

A final programme will be uploaded to this page in due course. Details of the agenda items for this year's AGM will be circulated separately.

Places to attend in person are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. If your plans change subsequent to booking, please contact the Academy to release your reserved place for somebody else.
