David Beech is Professor of Cardiovascular Science at the University of Leeds. His seminal discoveries span the molecular basis and regulation of calcium channels in a range of cell types of importance in cardiovascular disease and related inflammatory conditions. He has led multiple complex research projects including collaborative partnerships with cardiologists and surgeons. He has demonstrated direct relevance of his discoveries to diseased human tissues.
