Sophie Hambleton, Professor of Paediatrics and Immunology at Newcastle University, is an outstanding physician scientist with an excellent track record in describing and investigating the pathological mechanisms responsible for primary immunodeficiencies. Her important findings provide unique scientific insights into the essential roles of genes and pathways in the human immune system in the natural environment.
