Timothy Griffiths is Professor of Cognitive Neurology at Newcastle University. He is among the world’s leading scientists in the field of human audition. His work represents an outstanding example of the integration of classical clinical approaches with state of the art functional neuroimaging that is informed by sophisticated theoretical and computational approaches. His current clinical research addresses how complex-sound analysis is relevant to developmental disorders of reading and musical analysis. He has pioneered computational approaches to elucidate complex systems for auditory cognition in health and disease.
