Charles Craddock is Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit in Birmingham. He is a global leader in blood cancer and stem cell transplantation and has pioneered the development of internationally significant trials networks. He played a pivotal role in the development of reduced intensity transplant regimens in acute myeloid leukaemia, which have transformed treatment options worldwide. At the Life Sciences campus in Birmingham, he has revived the stem cell transplant programme which has delivered more than 3,500 transplants. Nationally, he led the establishment of the UK haemato-oncology Trials Acceleration Programme and led the establishment of IMPACT - one of only two transplant trials networks worldwide.
