Professor of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London, Alison Holmes is a world-leading expert in the field of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. Her applied translational infection research has been cited in the UK Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy and she has twice been called as an expert witness by the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee. Professor Holmes also has an international role as an expert on infection and is a member of the European Committee on Infection Control and serves on the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control Committee.
