Professor of Stroke medicine at the University of Nottingham, Philip Bath is an academic stroke physician of international stature. His research focuses on the treatment and prevention of stroke, and his work has changed UK and international Guidelines. Professor Bath has given many invited lectures at meetings worldwide and as a strong public advocate for stroke, and the sole Stroke Association Professor, he regularly represents this charity in the media. He is one of seven leaders that established the NIHR Stroke Research Network and was its Director of Prevention and Industry. He is also a founding member of international organisations including the European and World Stroke Organisations.
