Ludovic Vallier, Professor of Regenerative Medicine at the University of Cambridge, has made pioneering discoveries concerning the biology of human pluripotent stem cells and has applied his basic knowledge to develop novel model systems for metabolic disorders. His research has contributed to the success of national efforts to establish the UK as a flagship for stem cell research.|Professor Vallier’s research has resulted in the creation of 3 spin-out biotechnology companies. His leadership role in the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre, and interactions with clinical departments nationally and internationally, demonstrate his ability to contribute to shaping the future of biomedical research.|
