Dhaval Patel, Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President at UCB Brussels, is an outstanding clinician scientist who has made significant contributions to basic and translational science. He has trained young researchers, set up research satellites with UK institutions and contributed to the UK science eco system through his leadership of New Medicines at UCB Pharma. UCB have a strong collaborative relationship with Oxford University and have recently established a satellite facility at KCL. He is currently directly involved in the UK Life Sciences Industrial Strategy Board which includes industry, academic and government leaders with a focus on implementing the UK Life Sciences strategy.
