Academy of Medical Sciences appoints new President

John Bell, Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford University, is to become President of The Academy of Medical Sciences from November 2006. Professor Bell will succeed Sir Keith Peters, Emeritus Regius Professor of Physics at Cambridge University and President of The Academy since 2002.
