Join us to hear a panel of Fellows who will share their experiences of supporting evidence-based decision-making with key stakeholders in Westminster and Whitehall. The floor will be open for you to share your own experiences after a panel session, followed by a networking and drinks reception for in-person attendees.

Panel to be introduced and chaired by Lord David Willetts FRS FMedSci, who will draw on his roles in Westminster and Whitehall to make the case for the involvement of Fellows and scientists in supporting evidence-based decision making:

  • Professor Susan Jebb OBE FMedSci, Professor of Diet and Population Health, University of Oxford & Chair of the Food Standards Agency
  • Professor Sir Mark Walport FRS FMedSci, Former Chief Executive of UKRI, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

This event will take place both in person at the Wolfson Room/Exhibition Space at 41 Portland Place, London and online via Zoom. The panel session will take place 18:30-19:30, with drinks and networking for in-person attendess following the event.
