Our networking and learning event, 'Communicating and connecting beyond your sector', will take place on Friday 20 June at the Saïd Business School (Park End Street), Oxford.
The event is by invitation only and is open to Academy Fellows, grant awardees and programme participants.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with local Academy Fellows and researchers in academia and industry
- Learn more about the Academy's Fellowship election process, policy work and programmes
- Network with Academy staff, grant awardees and programme participants in an informal setting
The event will be co-hosted by Professor John Primrose FMedSci, Regional Champion for the South East, and Professor Athimalaipet Ramanan FMedSci, Regional Champion for the South West.
Our keynote speaker will be Professor Matthew Wood FMedSci, Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Oxford and Director and Chief Scientific Officer of the Oxford-Harrington Rare Disease Centre. Matthew is the founder of five biotech spin-out companies working on drug development for rare diseases, and he is a non-executive director of Oxford University Innovation.
