Health Education England's draft Research and Innovation Strategy

In June 2014, the Academy responded to Heath Education England’s (HEE) consultation on its Research and Innovation Strategy.

We welcomed HEE's laudable aims to support tomorrow’s clinical researchers and research leaders, and ensure that all those HEE educates can both facilitate the delivery of research and implement the research's outcomes. We stressed the importance of the Strategy being embedded throughout HEE and its committees, as well as the need for HEE to work very closely with organisations such as the Academy and Higher Education Institutions, which already have extensive experience in successfully supporting clinical researchers.
