The Academy has been working with the Science Media Centre (SMC) to identify Fellows to join their database of experts. The FMedSci badge provides journalists with a recognised symbol of excellence and a guarantee of credibility and we encourage all Fellows to work with the SMC when stories involving their research hit the headlines.
By joining their database, you agree for the SMC to contact you when your research becomes topical in the media. This could be for a request for an interview with a newspaper or broadcaster, a comment for one of their "round-ups" of scientists' comments, or to speak on the panel of a press briefing.
