This mentoring skills workshop is open to all mentees and mentors on the Academy scheme, as well as prospective mentees who are eligible for the scheme and Fellows who have not mentored yet but are interested in finding out more about the developmental model of mentoring that we use.

Our Mentoring Masterclasses are participatory and focussed on developing techniques, learning best practice and discussing the challenges of being in a mentoring relationship.

Registration is mandatory – please fill in the form to the right.

As a result of the workshop, you will have a clear understanding of:

- The roles of mentor and mentee.

- How to establish and manage expectations.

- How to deal with potential challenges during a mentoring relationship.

- How to ask good questions and give and receive feedback.

The Academy’s mentoring scheme is open to all postdoctoral Clinical Lecturers and Clinician Scientist Fellows, or equivalent posts, postdoctoral non-clinical MRC Research Fellows, as well as our Award Holders and Springboard applicants.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible to attend a Masterclass, please contact us.
