I joined the Academy in November 2024 as Head of Science Base and Careers Policy. Through my role, I want to ensure the UK has a world-leading health research environment that attracts and retains a diverse and effective workforce.

Previously, I was Head of Research Policy at Universities UK, where I engaged on the impact, effectiveness, security, and longer-term sustainability of university research. Before Universities UK, I worked for the British Universities Finance Directors Group and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. I studied Politics at Loughborough University and spent a semester at Lund University in Sweden. I have a master’s degree in Media and Cultural Analysis, also from Loughborough.
