Professor John Diffley awarded the 2016 Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine

Professor John Diffley FRS FMedSci is one of two recipients of this year's Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine, for his contributions to understanding how DNA replication initiates.

Established in 1986, the Louis-Jeantet Prize for medicine is awarded each year to experienced researchers who have distinguished themselves in the field of biomedical research in Europe.

Professor Diffley was elected to the Academy in 2011.
