INSPIRE is a five year, UK-wide initiative to engage medical and dental undergraduates with research.
A key element of INSPIRE is the sharing of experiences amongst medical schools. For this purpose, a development workshop took place at the Academy on 27 June with INSPIRE academic leads and student representatives in attendance.
The workshop provided an opportunity for medical schools to showcase activity, share learning and develop new ideas. Academics and students were enthusiastically involved in small group discussions and activities.
Dr Jeremy Farrar FMedSci, Director of the Wellcome Trust, and Professor Sir John Tooke PMedSci, Academy President, were among the speakers on the day.
INSPIRE is supported by the Wellcome Trust and coordinated by the Academy of Medical Sciences.
