We invite you to join us on the evening of Tuesday 1 December for a discussion event on global health with Professor Dame Sally Davies DBE FRS FMedSci and Professor Christopher Whitty CB FMedSci, who will reflect on the rewarding, challenging and memorable aspects of providing advice on international health issues in Whitehall.

This autumn sees Professor Whitty step down after a six-year tenure in the Department for International Development. He will be joined at this event by Dame Sally, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Adviser in the Department for Health, to share their insight into past, current and future opportunities and challenges in their respective areas.

Dame Sally and Professor Whitty have both taken on a number of global health policy challenges, with recent examples including the threat of antimicrobial resistance and the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. This discussion event will touch on these and others, as they share their reflections.

This event is free of charge. Registration and refreshments from 18:00, event commences at 18:30.
