March Mentoring Skills workshop

This mentoring skills workshop is open to all current and potential Academy mentees, current Academy Fellows, amd external mentors invited to the scheme.

Our mentoring skills workshops are participatory and focussed on developing your mentoring technique (for both mentee and mentor) and discuss the challenges of being an effective mentor or mentee.

As a result of the workshop, you will have a clear understanding of:

• The roles of mentor and mentee.
• How to establish and manage expectations.
• How to deal with potential pitfalls in mentoring.
• How to ask good questions, and give and receive feedback.

The Academy’s mentoring scheme is open to all postdoctoral Clinical Lecturers and Clinician Scientist Fellows, or equivalent posts, as well as MRC non-clinical postdoctoral research fellows.
