Fellows Discussion Dinner (Professor Gillian Griffiths)

Fellows are invited to attend a discussion dinner at the Academy, featuring a talk by Professor Gillian Griffiths FRS FMedSci, Professor of Cell Biology and Immunology, University of Cambridge.

Killer T-cells: Keeping on target

Cytotoxic cells of the immune system are very effective killers, destroying virally infected and tumorigenic cells with remarkable accuracy.  The unusual synapses that these cells form to focus their lethal hit on their targets reveals clues as to how the mechanism of killing originated.
