Daniel Turnberg Alumni Conference

The Academy is hosting a conference for the alumni of the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship Scheme, which will be held on Thursday 10 November 2016 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The meeting will include a welcome dinner on Wednesday 9 November 2016, with departures on Friday 11 November 2016.

There will be keynote talks from Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences, oral and poster competitions for alumni, and the opportunity to network and share best-practice with fellow scientists.

Registration

This event is open for all alumni of the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship Scheme only. 

All those joining the meeting will receive certificates of attendance. You are welcome to attend without submitting an abstract, but we encourage you to do so.

Abstract submission

Alumni are invited to enter oral and poster competitions which will provide the opportunity to share and discuss your research with each other.

During the registration process, you will be asked whether you wish to submit abstracts for either or both of the oral and poster competitions. Abstracts must be submitted on the dedicated online system by 1 September 2016.

Presenters will be selected by our Scientific Panel and alumni will be notified if they have been chosen in September 2016. All unsuccessful applicants are still invited to attend the meeting.

All applicants must read the competition guidelines before submitting an abstract.

Flights and venue

The conference will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus at the Hilton Cyprus Hotel (98 Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, Nicosia, 1077, Cyprus).

Accommodation and standard air fares will be funded by the scheme.
