Tim Elliott is Associate Dean and Chair of Experimental Oncology at the University of Southampton. His research aims to translate molecular science into the diagnosis and treatment of disease, moving ideas about molecular interactions in immunology to novel diagnostics and therapeutics in the clinic. He has made significant contributions to understanding the structure and function of MHC1 and to malignant cell evasion of cytotoxic T cells. As Associate Dean of the Medical School at Southampton, he has led the formation of the new Southampton Centre for Biomedical Research and the highly acclaimed Southampton Institute for Life Sciences.
