Susan Galbraith is Senior Vice President of AstraZeneca’s Oncology Innovative Medicines group. She has transformed AstraZeneca Oncology, through her scientific focus on selecting the right populations, moving 4 programs into Phase III since 2012. Two are established best-in-class medicines with osimertinib being the fastest ever developed drug. |Dr Galbraith’s focus on mentoring young female scientists has helped improve diversity in AstraZeneca and she is a strong supporter of UK life-sciences. She has established important collaborations with Cancer Research UK, and UK based investigators, and co-chairs the Cambridge Cancer Centre Innovation Board, where she supports the early development of entrepreneurial ideas.
