Stuart Taylor, Chair of Medical Imaging at UCL, is a leading UK academic radiologist, with an international reputation for gastrointestinal imaging research, notably MR imaging of Crohn's Disease. Via multi-centre, cross-disciplinary, pragmatic trials, his research evaluates high technology imaging platforms within NHS practice. His work on imaging Crohn’s disease was incorporated into leading British and European guidelines on managing inflammatory bowel disease, and was selected as one of just 5 impact case studies for REF2021 by the UCL Division of Medicine. He Chairs multiple high impact European consensus guideline committees and sits on the editorial board of the highest impact radiology journal. He is Past-President of the British Society of Gastrointestinal Radiology, where he championed diversity and introduced a mentorship scheme.
