Saye Khoo, Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool, is an international leader in antiviral pharmacology whose work is having a global impact. His research directly feeds into clinical care: in HIV, this has driven improvements in care and service delivery nationally and internationally. His work led to the creation of the internationally renowned Liverpool drug interactions prescribing tools with demonstrable impact on prescribing and health policy worldwide. He leads the international DolPHIN consortium undertaking therapeutic trials in HIV-infected pregnant women. Professor Khoo’s expertise has been heavily utilised by organisations in the UK, and worldwide, including the WHO, to develop guidelines and impact on patient care and public health.
