Richard Oreffo, Professor of Musculoskeletal Science at the University of Southampton, is a world leader in the application of regenerative medicine in the treatment of devastating bone conditions. He has provided breakthrough approaches in fundamental skeletal cell biology including skeletal stem cells and nanotopography, regenerative medicine, and epigenetics in osteoarthritis that have impacted through direct translational tissue engineering for patient benefit. His work on stem cell-nanotopographical material interface has provided a new paradigm for academia and industry providing, new approaches to device generation for orthopaedic companies. In 2017, he founded and is CSO of Renovos Biologics, providing next-generation regenerative medicine.
