Tim Maughan is Professor of Clinical Oncology at the University of Oxford. He is a distinguished translational researcher integrating biological principles into the clinic and has been recognised for his ability to deliver innovation into clinical and research practice. In Wales, he established the first research network in cancer, contributed to leadership of the NCRN and led the integrated research infrastructure for health and social care across Wales. Throughout this time he was also Chief Investigator of large colorectal cancer trials which have influenced international practice as a new paradigm for clinical trials in the era of stratified medicine.
