Professor Dorothy Bishop is Professor of Developmental Neuropsychology and Wellcome Principal Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. She has made extremely important contributions to the study of developmental language disorders. Her work in twins has shown clear evidence for a genetic basis for specific language impairment.
