These companies have proved to be some of the most successful in UK biotech, with remarkable early clinical results that have attracted partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies. His contributions as an innovator and entrepreneur in the commercial sector have helped to underpin the UK biotechnology sector. Professor Jakobsen has made major scientific contributions to studies of the T cell receptor and has continued to contribute to the fields of immunology, oncology and protein engineering.
