Professor Andrew Copp is the Glaxo Wellcome Professor of Developmental Neurobiology and Head of the Neural Development Unit at the Institute of Child Health at the University of London. He has applied his basic science studies of neurulation and neural tube closure during embryonic development to inform his clinically orientated research into the causation, pathogenesis and prevention of neural tube defects.
