Professor Dame Molly Stevens’ is John Black Professor of Bionanoscience at the University of Oxford. Her groundbreaking contributions to medical science encompass the creation of novel biosensing systems, therapeutic solutions, and regenerative medicine approaches aimed at providing effective and accessible healthcare technologies. With a background in pharmacy, she honed her expertise in biophysics and bioengineering bringing a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her work in medical science. Professor Stevens is also a successful entrepreneur launching four spin-out companies focused on biomedical innovations. She has held numerous leadership roles – she directed the UK Regenerative Medicine Platform “Smart Materials” Hub, was Chair of the Cancer Research UK Early Detection Committee and is currently Deputy Director of the UK Quantum Biomedical Sensing Research Hub, amongst many others.
