The EDI Advisory Committee oversees and advises on the development and implementation of the Academy’s equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy.
The committee consists of Fellows, Academy programme participants and EDI stakeholders. It is an operational committee reporting to Council. The committee meets four times per year.
Role
The role of the EDI Advisory Committee is to oversee and advise on the development and implementation of the Academy’s EDI strategy, diversity reports and any EDI activities in the yearly business plans and priorities for the Academy.
Membership and selection
Membership comprises Fellows and external representatives from across Academy programmes, partnerships, and communities. The committee has a maximum of 12 members. One-third of the membership is refreshed each year.
Committee membership is via open recruitment. Expressions of interest are open to all applicants with the relevant experience. All role opportunities are promoted through our website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
