Our mentoring masterclasses are an introduction to the developmental model of mentoring that we support, to help you get the most out of your mentoring relationship. They are participatory and focused on developing techniques, learning best practice and discussing the opportunities and challenges of being in a mentoring relationship, as well as networking with other people in the programme.

This mentoring masterclass is for new Academy Fellows/mentors only. The purpose of this mentoring masterclass is to raise awareness of the importance of utilising mentoring skills and their difference to other kinds of professional conversations.

In this two hour virtual workshop, we will cover:

  • Understanding the power of mentoring, what it is and is not and the significance of Developmental Mentoring.
  • Strengthening and raising awareness of key skills associated with mentoring conversations.
  • Understanding the nature of the relationship and managing expectation of its purpose.
  • Developing thinking and listening skills as mentors.
